Hey you 👋
First and foremost, thank you so much for giving so much love to the last edition— How to get a SaaS Byline?
If you’re a new subscriber and missed checking this edition, go and give it a read. If you already did, I owe you!!
This edition got an amazing response and brought me 5 new subscribers 😭, not even that, my LinkedIn post for this edition also ranked at the top and is still sitting there.

My newsletter edition also appeared in AI with this LinkedIn post.

So, it’s a big win for me— I wrote the edition to help other writers and shared my exact process— and it got the most views.
….this is why I owe you, as it wasn’t possible without your love and support. So thank youuuu again!!
Now, let’s jump to the topic for which you’re here.
Whenever I want to pitch my content services to a brand or a website, I don’t go with the generic approaches; neither should you. Instead, I do something else— Conducting an audit of their website to identify what should be fixed and how.
You can consider it as an assignment where you show them without saying out loud— you did your research, you read about them, and know who they are. And most importantly, what you will bring to the table, which positions you better.
Because saying I’m a freelance writer with X years of experience doesn’t work anymore and piss off the client or recruiter.
So, do your thing, that a writer should do— be creative and find different ways to reach out to your ideal or dream clients as I do.
How I Made the Carousel?
I frequently keep an eye on websites that are similar to the domain I write in. Now, I found this website when covering a startup story for one of my clients. I already knew a bit about them.
Then, one day, I decided to pitch them when I was looking for new projects.
Here’s what I did:
Checked their website and conducted an audit to find out the gaps
Checked their blog section and analysed their content with the SEO lens, which took me hours.
Gathered the information and decided to put it in a carousel to share on LinkedIn.
Posted the carousel on LinkedIn, tagged the founder and the brand.
How do I Conduct the Website Audit?
Before auditing the website, I do an SEO audit to see how it is. Generally, the basics are often ignored, but they play a vital role in ensuring your website performs well and generates revenue.
After that, I checked the blog section, so I did the same here. When doing so, I found that the blog was missing many major things it should have. But honestly, I was feeling happy and giggling at the same time— because when you find gaps, you can make your pitch better and suggest more ideas.
The best way to get your favourite client or brand's attention and show you want to work with them is to tag them publicly. It shows similar brands you know in this space, and you can write for them.
I made this carousel on Canva and shared it, tagging the founder.

Check out the post to see what I shared in the carousel; it will give you an idea of how the approach works. You can tailor the approach to your own way or according to your services. This is just an example of how to pitch creatively while showing others your skills.
FYI, this carousel got me:
On-site Job offers that are too direct from the founders
Connection requests from founders of the same space
Founders reply, I tagged in the post.
And of course, a good traction on my post.

You can do the same and convert the clients you want to work with.
So, that’s it for today now. Let me know if this approach lands you a client or a project. I’d love to celebrate with you 😊
If you have any questions, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to help.
I hope you find this edition helpful.
See you next time 👋
