I’m so excited (and slightly nervous) to write this first post, because this is more than a newsletter. It’s a leap.
For those of you who don’t know me yet:I’m a poet by passion, a content writer by profession, and a storyteller by heart. Over the last 3 years, I’ve written for e-commerce brands, health platforms, lifestyle blogs, SaaS companies, and affiliate websites, helping them improve visibility, drive clicks, and turn readers into loyal customers.
But behind every product description, SEO blog, and affiliate piece… there’s always a voice—mine—that was hidden behind those words. Till today!!
So why Substack, and why now?
Because I want to tell the stories that don’t rely on keywords. Wanted to write about what moves me, what I’ve learned as a creator in the digital space, and how the intersection of creativity and content marketing can be powerful, not just profitable. Also, I’ve had many beginner and fellow freelancers reach out to me seeking advice on how to start freelancing, to hunt and get clients, and to build a better portfolio. Honestly, I’m also struggling to settle my freelance business, but since I have some guidance and experience from my previous work, so can share what worked for me and what didn’t.
I also got this idea and confidence when Jagyasheni reached out after I made a helpful comment on her post last month. I shared some advice with her that I got from my experience and right guidance, that’s when I said to her- “I think I should start my newsletter” to share what I learn from this freelance world. Because I know I have been there a few years back seeking RIGHT guidance to start freelancing. Thank you, Jagysheni, for giving me the idea and confidence. It’s been a long time since I procrastinated this launch due to my hectic routine. But today, I finally made it. So, here I will connect with my people personally and share my personal and professional goals, wins and losses, client stories, and tips to build better in the freelance world.
