Hi {{first_name}} 👋
This edition feels a little special because it’s officially been 1 year of Writerspause 🥹🫶
And, seeing how far this newsletter has come from those early editions feels a bit surreal to me. It’s a mix of emotions right now!!
So before anything else — thank you ❤️

To everyone who has been reading, replying, sharing editions, or even quietly following along this journey.
A year ago, I started Writerspause without really knowing where it would go.
Around the same time, I joined the Insideletter cohort, and it has genuinely helped me build the foundation of this newsletter in its early days.
Recently, Insideletter shared my journey as a newsletter success story.
Please give it a read if you ever liked any of my editions. I’m being a bit emotional, but I can’t help it.
It might seem like a small thing to others, but it genuinely meant a lot to me because I still remember joining that cohort just trying to figure things out. I barely had any idea about newsletters and was just curious to see others writing this.
Over the last year, I explored Substack, recently shifted to Beehiiv, and learnt much more than I expected — not just about writing newsletters, but also about growth, analytics, positioning, distribution, and building something people genuinely look forward to reading.
Some editions travelled much further than I imagined.
One edition "how I got my SaaS byline" brought me 9 new subscribers, started appearing in AI search results, and even ranked on the first page of Google — something I never expected when I started this.Another edition, “Carousel That Got Me Founder’s Reply,” brought 3 subscribers just from people sharing it for the approach I shared in the edition.
And the recent one, “3 DMs That Got Me Replies,” got me an amazing response via email, saying it is a Goldmine for them.
What started with “I should probably write more online” slowly became a space where I share the unfiltered side of freelancing, things that are working for me, lessons I’m learning in real time, and useful resources that might help someone else, too.
Initially, I was only focused on writing and learning the fundamentals.
Now I find myself thinking much more deeply about audience, retention, systems, and newsletter growth overall. Somewhere along the way, this also became one of my main content pillars.
I’ve also started offering newsletter writing as a service now, and I’m excited to work with founders and brands who want to build newsletters people actually enjoy reading.
But beyond all of that, I love doing this.
Writing these editions…
Experimenting with ideas…
Sharing things with people who care enough to read them!
And honestly, seeing people reply or tell me something resonated with them has been the best part of all this.

Thank you again to everyone who has been part of Writerspause so far — whether from the beginning or recently, it means a lot 😭
I’m gonna share something interesting about the newsletter's journey on LinkedIn, so connect with me if you haven’t.
I’ll keep trying my best to make every email worth opening, I promise.
Share this newsletter with someone who is building, especially in SaaS, or might find something useful here. Every subscriber brings me immense motivation.
You can also DM me anything specific to cover in my further editions. Because some of my editions are based on the common problems a writer has come across and shared with me while interacting.
If you’re new here, you must check our previous editions to find more useful stuff:
Thanks for reading it to the end, and for being with me. Keep giving your love to Writerspause.
I’m going to chill this weekend because I’m done with this week of deadlines and, most importantly, this newsletter. Stay tuned for the exciting post I’m going to share soon on this.
Hit the reply button or DM me if you loved any of my editions or if it has ever been worth opening for you. I’m all ears, all the praises for the next few days or maybe always haha!!
See you in the next edition 👋
